5. Essential Oil & Baking Soda

If you want a refreshing scent in your drain, some essential oil might do the trick. Mix a few drops with 1/2 cup of baking soda, and run the paste down the drain with hot water.
6. Don’t Pour Bleach Down The Drain!

Though bleach is a powerful cleaning product, you should not pour it down your drain. It can react with the substances left in the pipes and even release toxic fumes!
